The Canadian skeleton team have been absolved of charges that they deliberately manipulated a qualifying event for the upcoming Games, thereby denying competitors from other nations a spot to secure their place.

A prominent American athlete Katie Uhlaender alleged the Canadian squad of withdrawing a majority of its entered athletes from a recent event in New York. “The current IBSF Rules allow member nations to withdraw athletes from competition at any time,” declared the governing body.
